Get rid of chest congestion, by first understanding it
How long is a cold contagious?
We’ve all heard people with a cold say, “It’s okay, I’m not contagious anymore,” but their coughing might indicate otherwise and you definitely don’t want to catch what they have. The guideline below identifies whether someone should head into the office to crush that client meeting or if they should take the day to work from home. If your colleague has been sick for a week, you may not need to avoid them anymore.
Day 1 – 3
This is when cold symptoms begin to appear. At this point, the chance of transmitting the cold virus is generally at its highest. 1
When a person is contagious, the respiratory droplets that contain infectious viral particles can spread to others through a cough or sneeze, that’s why it’s important to remember to always cough and sneeze correctly.
Day 4 – 5
Although the risk level for spreading your cold has subsided, symptoms will still be in full-effect. BENYLIN® Cough Plus Cold Relief has the strength inside to relieve even your toughest cough and cold symptoms.
Day 6 – 7
A cold should be at its tail end now, which means the risk of transmitting a cold is minimal. Get back out there, impress your boss, and your clients.
